Elon Musk is destroying democracy around the world, and he's using the fortune he built at Tesla to do it. We are joining the Tesla Takedown movement to stop Musk's illegal coup.
Tesla Takedown is a peaceful protest movement that aims to stop Musk by picketing Tesla and driving Tesla’s stock price into the ground. We’re off to a good start: Tesla earnings dropped 71 percent in the first quarter of 2025!
Lake Elmo Tesla is on the frontage road that is just north of Highway 94, west of the exit for County 19/Keats Ave N.
Parking and access is easy. Park at the strip mall lot across the street from the dealership (near the Dairy Queen).

The Democracy Index
from the Contrarian
This week’s Democracy Index shows how Musk’s ignominious departure, though not a panacea, represents a signal failure for him, and therefore for Donald Trump. And how the emotional and incompetent government he has instituted continues to wreak havoc.
... Musk’s exit and DOGE’s wind-down provide a model for how these dangers can be combated, and how their harm can be mitigated, if not rolled back. It may feel temporary and fractional, but it surely doesn’t feel that way to Musk. Sometimes shows of strength can’t overcome fundamental weakness, especially when challenged by the truly powerful — the American people.
The House budget bill would kick 15 million people off health insurance
House Republicans wanted to find a way to defray the cost of the tax cuts they passed for the richest households in the country. They chose to slash programs helping some of the most vulnerable families—including Medicaid and subsidies that let people buy health insurance through the Affordable Care Act (ACA). This direct transfer of income from vulnerable families to the richest can be summarized in a striking symmetry: If the bill becomes law, the annual cuts to Medicaid would average over $70 billion in coming years—the same amount millionaires and billionaires would gain in tax cuts each year.
These health care spending cuts would lead directly to millions of people losing health insurance. A widely cited Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimate of 13.7 million people losing coverage was preliminary, and the CBO noted that more-precise estimates to come would “somewhat further increase the estimated number of people without health insurance.” More recently, the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities estimated coverage losses of at least 15 million.
Thank you for all that you do!
We hope to see you at the June 12 meeting.
